2008-11-11 - Flo Rida and Trey Songz in the Gap campaignAtlantic Records announced this week that they've aligned three of their artists with clothing retailer, the Gap, for a major holiday marketing campaign.

Miami rapper Flo Rida, singer Trey Songz, and Bad Boy Records recording artist Janelle Monae were selected for the partnership to bring their unique brand of hip-hop cool to the Gap's upcoming "Merry Mix It" campaign, slated to debut online, in Gap stores, and in movie theatres nationwide on November 13th.

With urban artists commanding top endorsement dollars and in high demand by brand marketers worldwide, the specialty clothing retailer reached out to Flo Rida and Trey Songz to write and produce a street rendition of a Christmas classic for its annual holiday promotion.

The result is their version of "Jingle Bells," which is now playing in Gap stores nationwide, and will follow with in-store video displays in select locations beginning November 13th.

Gap will highlight "Jingle Bells" on its Gap.com MerryMixIt site, which offers fans and customers the opportunity to personalize the spot. Additionally, users can custom remix the commercial's big beats and rhymes, and then send it to friends and family as a unique holiday greeting card.

On November 13th, the Merry Mix It site will launch at Gap.com/MerryMixIt.
