Cash Money Records co-founder, Birdman, appeared in a courtroom in Kingsport, Tennessee on Friday (October 17) to face drug charges stemming from an arrest in November of last year.
According to TriCities.com, Birdman (real name: Bryan Williams) and his brother Ronald "Slim" Williams entered a no contest plea to possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana in Kingsport General Sessions Court.
Each received a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days probation and were ordered to pay a $500 fine plus $405 in court costs.
Two other individuals also entered a no contest plea, while two others didn't show.
The Williams brothers also applied for judicial diversion in order to have their records expunged if they acquire no new charges while on probation.
In November 2007, Birdman's RV was pulled over in Kingsport, Tennessee, after their driver made an improper lane change causing a tractor trailer into the emergency lane on Interstate 81. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the RV, prompting a search that resulted marijuana being found in the RV's kitchen trash can.
The driver, Keith Boswell, pleaded no contest to facilitation of possession of marijuana. He received a suspended sentence of six months unsupervised probation plus a $100 fine and court costs.
