The Cash Money Millionaires had a full-blown reunion on Sunday night (March 16) in New Orleans... well, almost.
Minus Lil Wayne, because he is currently overseas on tour, and Turk, well, he's locked up. But the remaining members snapped photos and seemed to enjoy the atmosphere together.
At Dreams in New Orleans Sunday, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, B.G., Cash Money Records founders, Baby and Slim, were all on hand at the club for the Core DJs' annual weekend gathering.
The label, where all the aforementioned artists began their careers, planned to reunite the original Hot Boys during a performance at Dream for NBA All-Star weekend, but due to a shooting outside the venue, the reunion were halted before it could even take place.
The moment would have been a historic performance, since the group parted ways years ago for several reasons -- one being over money disputes.
"It was just going to be a moment in hip-hop history," B.G. told MTV a day after the reunion was to take place. "We all haven't been under the same roof together in over four years. It was gonna be a moment, and who knows what would have happened once we got in there? But due to it being Chopper City and it being New Orleans, they had a shoot-out in front of the club before we could even get there, and three people got shot, so they shut it down."
While there was no performance Sunday night, it was good to see the former comrades back together, on good terms.
According to MTV, Lil Wayne and Juvenile are slated to appear on B.G.'s song "Ya Heard Me," from his upcoming album, Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood. The collabo will be the first time in seven years the trio will appear on the same record.
