Lil Wayne entered a not guilty to weapons charges during his arraignment in a New York court on Monday morning (February 25).

The charge stems from an arrest in July 2007 when police found a .40 caliber handgun after searching his tour bus following a performance in New York with Ja Rule.

Coincidently, Ja Rule was also arrested and charged with speeding when he was pulled over by police an hour earlier.

Weezy (real name: Dwayne Carter Jr.) faces two felony charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

If convicted, he could face up to three and a half years in prison due to New York's strict gun laws.
