The Game Pleads No Contest To Gun Charge, Gets 60 Days

Despite telling Benzino's Monsta magazine that he had copped a plea and was to serve a 120-day jail sentence, The Game was sentenced to less time -- 60 days.

The rapper pleaded no contest to felony possession of a firearm in a school zone recently, while two other charges -- making criminal threats and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a peace officer -- were dismissed under a plea agreement.

The deal helped the rapper (real name: Jayceon Taylor) avoid a possible five year sentence if he had been found guilty of all charges.

Game already has credit for two days served, but also received three years' probation and 150 hours of community service.

The charges stem from a 2007 basketball game at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex near his old Compton neighborhood in which Game alleged pulled a gun on another player following a fight between the two.

The rapper reportedly got angry, punched the other player, and then headed to his vehicle to grab a pistol before threatening to kill him.
