Hip-hop mogul, Diddy, is once again making a name change.
After changing his name numerous times -- from Puff Daddy to P. Diddy, then to just plain Diddy -- the Bad Boy Records founder (real name: Sean Combs) now wants to go by the name Sean John.
According to the New York Post, Diddy says it's just another step in his evolution.
"I have always evolved and taken a different name each time," he said. "It's nothing unusual where I come from. Right now I want to be Sean John because that's where I am."
In other Diddy news, the mogul will appear in the TV version of "A Raisin In The Sun." It is slated to air on ABC on February 25th.
Diddy said via a YouTube posting, he's ready to show the world the acting side of himself.
"Ya'll know me for a lot of different things, whether it's music, fashion or films, television, but you don't really know me as an actor," he said. "I would like to introduce my actor to you.
"It's my gift to you. It's free, I'm not asking you to go pay to see the movie," he continued.
The trailer for the film can be viewed here.
