A local San Antonio rapper was arrested on Tuesday (January 15) in a drug bust where more than 1,300 ecstasy pills were seized.
According to local news stations, Billy King -- known as a member of local rap group Bexar County Boyz -- were charged with possession with intent to deliver after being arrested in a local apartment building.
Police said that the pills had a street value of more than $32,000, which was more than four times the amount of ecstasy that was confiscated in all of 2007.
Local authorities allege that King is a big player in the San Antonio ecstasy market, after being under surveillance for quite some time. In addition to the drugs confiscated, $4,000 in cash, a weapon, scales and other electronics were also taken into custody.
King, along with another female, are being held at Bexar County Jail on $30,000 bond.
