Master P and his son Romeo have recently helped feed the homeless on Christmas in Los Angeles, via the Food On Food organization.
Now, after donating money to the program, Master P and his son are taking it to their home city of New Orleans -- calling it Food On Foot N.O. (New Orleans).
The division in New Orleans will distribute balanced and nutritious meals to needy citizens, and also rehabilitate disadvantaged individuals and families through jobs and job training.
In addition to providing nourishment, Food on Foot N.O. will exist to give confidence and hope to those that have been through so much, so that they may eventually transition back into society, according to a press release.
"This is probably one of the best organizations I've ever been a part of," said Master P. "Food on Foot helps those in New Orleans that need it the most."
Nearly two-and-a-half years after Hurricane Katrina devastated the city, many residents are still without homes and some are even living in tents or under bridges. Food on Foot N.O. aims to help get them fed and back on their feet.
Master P participated in a Food on Foot event in Los Angeles and was motivated by its founder, Jay Goldinger, to bring the organization to his hometown of New Orleans.
