After enjoying a successful 2007 with his hit single "Wipe Me Down," Baton Rouge-based rapper Webbie is set to release his early anticipated new album, Savage Life 2, in February.

The forthcoming release will be the rapper's sophomore effort, following his 2005 debut, Savage Life, which boasted the hit single "Give Me That."

Savage Life 2 sees Webbie rapping alongside Southern heavyweights such as Bun B, Young Dro, and Birdman, as well as Lil Boosie and Foxx (his partners from the "Wipe Me Down" single). Production credits include Mouse, Mannie Fresh and B-Real, among others.

Its first single is "Independent," which is already starting to catch on with the video on heavy rotation on BET's "Rap City" and "106 & Park," and "MTV Jams."

The new album is slated for release on February 26 via Trill Entertainment/Asylum/Atlantic Records.
