Snoop Dogg Gives Fans Access To His Family Life With 'Fatherhood'
By Ronnie Gamble ♦ Published 12/06/2007

Although he's an international rap star with multi-platinum plaques under his belt, Snoop Dogg is all about his family at the end of the day. He may run things in his hip-hop career, but at home, being the "top dogg" is another story with his wife, three well-adjusted lively kids, and all the chaos in between.

E! is gearing up for the premiere of a new reality series called "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood" introducing viewers to the everyday life of Snoop Dogg, a.k.a. Calvin Broadus, where his wife and high school sweetheart Shanté, a.k.a. Boss Lady, runs the show. Boss Lady manages the business of the family as Snoop forges a career path that includes eight platinum-selling albums, a youth football league, a line of pet supplies, a clothing line, films, commercials, books and being CEO of Doggy Style Records.

The show also includes Snoop's three children Cordé ("Spank"), the oldest at 13; 10-year old son Cordell ("Rook"); and Cori ("Chocolate," "Choc"), the youngest of the bunch at 8.

The series kicks off with Snoop realizing he has to take better care of himself after nearly losing a push-up contest against his son Spank. In an effort to restore his old strength and obtain a new sense of calm, Snoop visits his doctor. His physician suggests some alternative treatments and sends him to try meditation, yoga and needle-wary Snoop's worst nightmare -- a blind acupuncturist.

Produced by E! Studios in conjunction with Savant Productions and Snoopadelic Films, "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood" is slated to premiere Sunday (December 9) at 10:30 p.m., ET/PT on E!.
