Superproducer Pharrell Williams revealed to MTV recently that he is resurrecting his N.E.R.D. group, which is expected to return next year with a new album.
As far as what their new project would sound like, he says "Red Bull with growth hormones in it."
N.E.R.D. -- consisting of Pharrell, longtime production partner Chad Hugo and Shay Haley -- made their debut in 2001 with In Search Of... to critical acclaim, but sold fewer than 500,000 copies.
Their follow-up, Fly Or Die, dropped in 2004, then shortly after told BBC Radio 1 that the group was done due to conflicts with management at Virgin Records.
Now, it's a different story. According to lil Skateboard P, the new project is his top priority at the moment, which he tells MTV is basically completed, but will not give any further details because he wants to let the fans find out for themselves.
"I want to leave it for the audience," Pharrell told MTV. "So what I think about it doesn't really matter. It's feelings. So I want the thoughts in this process to come from our audience and the people who listen to my thoughts."
