Electronic Arts (EA) announced two new titles to the Sims franchise on Wednesday (October 24) -- one based on bowling and the other on music.
"The Sims Bowling" and "The Sims DJ," both developed for mobile phones, will not be that fair from the original premise of its predecessors. They will allow players to walk in the shoes of either a bowler or DJ and play through their careers.
According to a press release, "The Sims Bowling" is designed for one-button play, so players are able to adjust the spin and power of the ball while it's on the lane. It has four different game modes: Classic, Strike-o-Thon, Spare-o-Thon and Online Derby. It also has the ability to play online with up to four players.
As for "The Sims DJ," players will take on the role of a DJ for virtual dance parties in Pleasantville, endeavoring to best match their music to club-goers' tastes. Players will be able to create their own tracks in the pop, rock, hip-hop and dance genres, and blend them with pre-recorded tracks.
"The Sims Bowling" is available for download through select wireless carriers for $6.99, while "The Sims DJ" is slated for a December release.
