Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that took place during a concert at a Midtown Atlanta night club Thursday night (October 11), in which Miami rapper JT Money is a suspect.
According to reports, an argument took place between two men inside Club Opera, which escalated into gunfire inside the venue right before singer Trey Songz was to take the stage.
Shortly after shots were fired, three male suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a black Humvee, one of whom police say was JT Money (real name: Jefferey Thompkins), said local news channel WXIA-TV Atlanta.
As a result of the madness, 29-year-old Carl Edwards Green II was shot in the abdomen and rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in fair condition, while one other, a woman, was trampled and suffered a broken arm.
The Hot 107.9 hosted concert has some 400 to 500 people, which when witnesses said some kind of disturbance or fight broke out and shots were fired.
The event was one of many taking place as a part of the weekend's taping of the second annual BET Hip-Hop Awards show.
JT Money is best known as a member of Miami hip-hop group, Poison Clan. And also assisted Luke in his feud with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg via their diss track "Cowards In Compton" in the mid-90s.
