Pimp C Apologizes For Saying Atlanta Isn't The South
By Miles Bennett ♦ Published 08/02/2007

After saying he didn't consider Atlanta a part of the South in a recent interview with Ozone magazine, UGK's Pimp C has issued a statement retracting his comment and making an apology for it.

"To all my Atlanta fans and friends, I want to say I apologize for my statement in the Ozone magazine about Atlanta not being the South. That was a bullsh** statement," he wrote in a blog on his official Myspace page. "Atlanta is and has always been the dirty motherf***in' South. Chuuch!"

Although he apologized for the specific comment about Atlanta, he did not take back other negative comments about several other rappers and industry people that were said.

"The rest of what I said, 'bout them p**** ass n****s is and always will be the truth," he also wrote, then continuing by saying he's ready for war if it comes to that. "If you wanna go to war, I will take you to World War III at the drop of a dime."

In an interview with Ozone for their August issue, Pimp C took shots at various people within hip-hop including pioneer Russell Simmons, Ne-Yo, Lil Troy and fake "d-boys".

So far, the only person to publicly respond to Pimp C's statements is Houston veteran, Lil Troy, who claims Pimp C is mad at him because he exposed the legendary Scarface as a snitch.

"That man is coming after me because I exposed (fellow veteran Houston rapper) Scarface of being a snitch and introducing his friends, George Washington Simmons and Byron Keith Harris, to the Feds as his cocaine suppliers," said Troy in a statement.

"That beef was between me and Face. It didn't have nothing to do with Pimp C. Pimp ain't even no gangster. I went to jail on drug charges. He got locked up for pulling a gun on a woman in a mall. Is that gangster? You can't compare your rap sheet to mine," he continued.

In other UGK news, the duo's forthcoming album, Underground Kingz is slated to drop on Tuesday, August 7th. It boasts a list of guest appearances from Rick Ross, Outkast, Three 6 Mafia, Slim Thug, Lil Jon, and Akon, among others.
