Eminem protege, Obie Trice, was shot early Saturday (December 31) while driving on a freeway in Detroit, Michigan.

According to various reports, the Detroit native was traveling on the Lodge Freeway around 1 a.m. when his car was shot at by someone in another vehicle.

The rapper's manager, Terry Wilson, told Allhiphop.com that Obie was shot in the head while driving his Range Rover on the freeway. Trice was on his way home from a party hosted by comedian Mike Epps.

Although hurt by at least one gunshot wound, Trice was still able to drive his Range Rover, exit the freeway, while his girlfriend (who was also a passenger) flagged down police for help.

Trice was taken to a nearby hospital, listed in good condition, and later released.
