Go ahead, peruse through all the men's magazines, hip-hop publications and watch an abundance of videos. Then select all your favorite eye candy and take them to the candy shop. While your eyes will probably be dancing in bewilderment over whom to look at first, the petite but voluptuous siren, Loredana, will probably capture your attention the longest.
That's right; forget Kelly and Jigga. This 21-year-old Italian/Brazilian beauty is truly the best of both worlds. Standing at just 5'1" prominent publications can already attest that Loredana effortlessly exudes a sexy, sensual vibe. She has already graced the pages of Stuff, FHM and Maxim magazines, not to mention Playboy. From the pout lips to the seductive eyes, hair, curves, that hint of an accent; this girl is downright dangerous!
Consequently, the former Playboy Playmate took time out for Ballerstatus.net during a hot photo shoot for her website's members area to talk about what she has on the plate, her diverse background (including her Bronx, NY roots), kickboxing and her push to get into more hip-hop pages and the acting world. It's not like you're going to forget, but remember the name, remember the face because Loredana has that fire! The candy shop is opened... the candy shop is officially shut down due to one name, Loredana! Read on.
BallerStatus.com: We're here with the lovely Loredana. This is a Ballerstatus.com Beyond Hip-Hop exclusive. Loredana, just the name alone is sexy!
Loredana: Yea, I say no last name like Madonna. Besides, Loredana is my real name and there's no other Loredanas out there.
BallerStatus.com: Tell me what's on the plate right now. What are you working on and what do you have to look forward to in the future?
Loredana: Well, I've been working a lot in Europe and I've been trying to bring my image here out in the U.S. I'm launching my new website March 16; thats it, I'm excited. I'm here on my shoot, getting ready for my members-only area. You have to check it out: Loredana.tv; that's it. I want to get into the hip-hop game.
BallerStatus.com: You mentioned the hip-hop market and that's what [Ballerstatus] does. Can you elaborate on that? What are your plans for getting into hip-hop?
Loredana: Well, I've done a couple of hip-hop videos already (Eamon ft. Ghostface "Love Them Hoes," Sting ft. Twista "Stolen Car" remix). I guess I want to get into more of the editorial side of the market, but I'm focusing on acting as well, so a little bit of everything.
BallerStatus.com: Any acting things on the plate that you can tell us about? Any scripts that you're reviewing?
Loredana: Yea, I'm actually taking acting classes now as we speak. I'm going on castings and my manager is working pretty hard. I'm getting into it. I've been doing acting in Europe for a while now and we'll bring it out here and we'll see how I do.
BallerStatus.com: Can you tell all the Ballerstatus fans out there your background because I think it's very intriguing.
Loredana: Well, I'm Italian and Brazilian. I was raised in Italy for eight years and moved back to the states, and had to learn English because I was speaking Italian. I was raised here; I grew up and was born in the Bronx. Yea, so I was born and raised in the Bronx and that's basically it.
BallerStatus.com: You moved to Italy when you were how old?
Loredana: I was five years old and then I lived there till I was 12 or 13-years-old.
BallerStatus.com: What was the best part about living in Italy and their whole culture and lifestyle there?
Loredana: I would have to say the food. The Italian food; the pasta. Italian people are great people with great personality. They're laid back and like to take it day-by-day. New York is all about working hard and making that money and becoming successful. In Italy, you just sit back, drink coffee, and smoke cigarettes.
BallerStatus.com: Yea, New York City is all about the big hustle.
Loredana: Yea, hustler all the way.
BallerStatus.com: I read something about you taking your parents under great respect and obviously they mean a lot to you. But with that said, how did they feel when you told them about the Playboy shoot?
Loredana: My dad still to this day has no idea because he's from Italy and doesn't really get into it. My mom, I don't think she knows that I was completely nude. I think she thinks it was a calendar and lingerie, but I think she knows and is not upset about it because my career is going ahead. It didn't stop there; it just kept going. Now I'm completely out of Playboy. I was 18; I was young. I was 18-years-old and I was like I'm ready; let's shoot. I'm trying to get away from that. I've been shooting a lot of clothing line, bikini and stuff like that, but definitely I'm trying to aim for the acting.
BallerStatus.com: When you did Playboy, did you do the whole mansion thing?
Loredana: Yea, I stayed at the mansion.
BallerStatus.com: How was that? Because we're fellas and the closest we're going to get to the mansion is through you, right about now.
Loredana: Yea, well the Playboy Mansion is a great place to be. It's a great house and Hef is amazing.
BallerStatus.com: Did Hef hit on you!? You could tell us because we're known for bringing the straight fire.
Loredana: [laughs] You know we got along. He's a great guy and he gave me the chance to do a shoot for him; it was fun. The girls are amazing; everyone's walking around with bikinis on. There's like all these hot chicks, but a lot of parties, and a lot of celebrities. It was fun. It was a great experience at 18-years-old. It was definitely a great place to be.
BallerStatus.com: On behalf of all the fellas I have to ask are you single?
Loredana: Yea, right now I'm single. I'm dating a couple of people, but definitely single for now. I'm trying to focus on my career and men don't really take you serious when you're into this whole entertainment business.
BallerStatus.com: What do you look for in a guy?
Loredana: What do I look for in a guy? Definitely, honesty. I'm not really into the look. It's more personality. If you can hold a conversation, I'm more into you.
BallerStatus.com: I could hold a conversation.
BallerStatus.com: You talked about the movies and acting. Any other things that you can let us in on that you're working on?
Loredana: I just came out in the FHM UK. You can actually buy that in the states in Tower Records or Barnes & Nobles. I'm Ms. February FHM. So, they give you a big spread; it's like the size of your door.
BallerStatus.com: We just talked to Vida Guerra a while ago, and she got her break from FHM. So how was it working with them?
Loredana: Yea, I shot FHM here in the States. It didn't do as big as Vida did, but in the UK I got the big Ms. February FHM. I also have a couple of calendars out. I'm focusing on my calendar here in the States. I'm just trying to make it out here.
BallerStatus.com: I read somewhere that your mom would have you be doing Italian beauty contests.
Loredana: Yea, I started doing a couple of Italian bikini contests and beauty contests when I was younger. I was Ms. Hawaiian Tropic representing Sicily and I won that. My mom started me off doing bikini contests and I didn't get along with the other girls.
BallerStatus.com: Why is that?
Loredana: Girls are bitchy.
BallerStatus.com: They had beef with you, huh?
BallerStatus.com: You seem like you're real calm and laid back.
Loredana: Yea, I'm all laid back. I do what I have to do and then get out of there.
BallerStatus.com: So they were catty with you. Did you have to (Mark puts fists up) have to put one of them on their back?
Loredana: I actually did, I'm not joking. I actually did punch a girl in the face. She was upset because I won representing Europe. She was Ms. Greek.
BallerStatus.com: You knocked Ms. Greek out!?
Loredana: She was with my roommate, and I beat the sh-- out of her in my room.
BallerStatus.com: [laughs] We're not portraying you as a fighter, but how did that start?
Loredana: Yea I'm not a fighter, like with boxing gloves, but I remember I won. I went in with my trophy and she was like standing there [laughs], ready to fight me.
BallerStatus.com: So you won and she was jealous?
BallerStatus.com: Sorry, Ms. Greek! Wow, I can't picture you fighting though. How tall are you?
Loredana: No, I'm not a fighter. I'm 5'1" but I'm a kickboxer.
BallerStatus.com: You kickbox? How did you get started with that?
Loredana: It's a great workout. My friend is the light heavyweight champ of kickboxing.
BallerStatus.com: Oh, really?
Loredana: Yea, I started getting into it and I love it. So, if I have any problems, I could beat all these f---ing chicks up. Oops, excuse my language, but this is hip-hop.
BallerStatus.com: How much longer do you see yourself doing modeling?
Loredana: I'm doing great in the modeling, but I want more money. It pays amazing -- don't get me wrong, and I'm doing good at it -- but I'm not going to stay young forever. Your looks are going to fade. I've been acting for a couple of years now and I've been training myself, so I want to get into the acting and take it to the next level.
BallerStatus.com: How did you strike up the nerve to pose for Playboy?
Loredana: I figured their photographers see hot girls everyday, so I just did it. It's not so bad. I was nervous, but it wasn't terrible. They make you feel comfortable.
BallerStatus.com: Besides Playboy, what other shoots have been real memorable?
Loredana: I like to shoot on the beach in Hawaii or Florida. I hate cold New York weather when you're standing there freezing.
BallerStatus.com: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Loredana: I really want a family, a husband...the whole nine yards. But right now, I'm focused on my career, acting and becoming a well-known actress.
